We’re offering creative workshops in collaboration with your local community centre.

Green Bay Comics Workshop – Ant Sang
Saturday 6 June, 1 – 4 pm Green Bay Community House
A hands-on introductory workshop led by graphic artist Ant Sang that provides you with the tools to begin creating your own comic book. Practical topics will be covered such as writing, planning, character design, and working with words and images. Ant Sang’s award winning comics include Dharma Punks, a story of young punks in 1990s Auckland and Shaolin Burning a modern reworking of a Kung Fu origin story. Ant also collaborated with Elizabeth Mitchell to create the world of Morningside for the TV show bro’Town.

Kelston Comics Workshop – Michel Mulipola
Wednesday June 17 – Kelston Community Hub in collaboration with Kelston Boys’ High School
A hands-on introductory workshop led by graphic artist Michel Mulipola that provides you with the tools to begin creating your own comic book. Michel Mulipola is a Samoan comic book artist based in Auckland. Michel is currently working on the the American graphic novel, Headlocked. When he’s not drawing comics, Michel can be found at the Arkham City Comics store as well as kicking as in an Impact Pro Wrestling ring.
